For those of you who don't know, Rick and I fly planes. Well, Rick flies the plane and I stand around and watch him. I also help fuel, set up, tear down, and I make supportive comments, such as:
"OOH!"
"Nice!!"
"Pretty!!"
On a wall in my apartment is where we retire old propellers that we have broken, chipped, or that we can't use anymore. I like that we can share this hobby together. Those of you who know me know that I am spatially challenged, and I can't even make a remote control car go where I want it to, let alone a $1500 radio-controlled airplane. I'm happy to just stand back and live vicariously through Rick, who is excellent at everything, and knows what he's doing. I'm thankful that he's patient enough to keep me around. Today we sorted out some little airplane parts, watched Napoleon Dynamite, and ate Taco Villa.
I went and did group in Andrews, and was slightly unprepared, but I managed to pull it off.
And, since I've been home, here is what has happened.
- I was sitting at my desk, and I dropped my Cutterbee precision scissors right onto my middle right toe, slicing it open immediately. I had no idea that one toe could spew out so much blood.
- I replaced the batteries in my digital camera and the display finally started working again, but now it has funny lines on it, and really, I need a new one.
- The space where I do my crafty/arty/scrapbooky things, which I cleaned YESTERDAY, is messy again.
I also had a very nice phone chat with my friend Amber, from Baltimore. HI AMBER!!
It's almost midnight and I have group tomorrow morning. See you guys soon.
